Junior ROTC instructor charged with aggravated assault

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police arrested a Soddy Daisy High School Junior R-O-T-C instructor.

He’s accused of waving a gun at a teenage girl at the Starbucks near the Northgate Mall.

The victim told police 50-year old Timothy Hodges blew his horn at her as she was pulling out of Starbucks.

She says Hodges cursed at her, and then showed her a handgun.

She also claims Hodges followed her into the Northgate Mall Shopping Center.

He was arrested later and is being charged with aggravated assault.

The Hamilton County Department of Education says Hodges won’t be working with children during the investigation.
