Just months after being removed from sex offender registry, he does it again
Georgia man sentenced for sexually abusing an 11 year old and recording hit
ROME, Georgia (WDEF) – Just two months after getting off the Georgia sex offender registry, Stacy Keith Wisener began abusing a new victim.
He had been found guilty of molesting a victim under 16 in 2003. He didn’t get any jail time for that, but did get the sex offender registry.
His efforts to be removed from the registry paid off in 2017 when a Paulding County Judge agreed.
Now prosecutors say he began a much more severe case of sexual abuse against an 11 year old girl just months later.
The abuse continued for several years, until she told her parents.
Police immediately raided his home and found electronic devices with video of the abuse and other child pornography.
They also found that the Postal worker had been stealing mail from his postal facility.
Now Wisener has been sentenced to three decades of federal time.
“After his release from Georgia’s sex offender registry, Wisener resumed his predatory activities,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan.
“His horrific targeting of this child is unbelievable.”
“Wisener’s decision to continue to exploit children, even after working to get off the sex offender registry, now puts him in prison for decades,” said Keri Farley, Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta.
“This defendant wasted a second chance after being removed from the sex offender registry by reoffending, this time with far more egregious crimes. The GBI is committed to working with our partners to protect our young ones who are most vulnerable,” said Georgia Bureau of Investigation Assistant Director John Melvin.
