HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Authorities arrested a juvenile Wednesday afternoon after a high speed pursuit.

At 4:10 p.m., March 12, 2025, a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black motorcycle driving north in the southbound lanes in the 1200 block of Highway 27.

The motorcycle operator refused to stop, and a pursuit was initiated.

The suspect exited Highway 27 onto Highway 153 south at a high rate of speed.

According to HCSO, the suspect then traveled southbound on Dayton Boulevard, swerving into oncoming traffic.

This forced northbound vehicles to veer off to the right side of the road to avoid a traffic accident.

The pursuit was terminated by deputies in the 4400 block of Dayton Boulevard.

Later on, personnel with the Red Bank Police Department (RBPD) found the motorcycle had crashed at the intersection of Dayton Boulevard and Ashland Terrace.

The suspect, a 16-year-old juvenile, was arrested and taken to a nearby medical facility for medical review.

After release from the facility, the juvenile was taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center, and is being charged with the following:

  • Driving the Wrong Way on a Highway

  • Reckless Endangerment
  • Violation of Traffic Control Signal
