Kennedy Center helps Hamilton County Schools

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is lending a helping hand to Hamilton County schools.

They are working to create a long-term Arts Education Plan for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

This will be the 26th site for the “Ensuring the Arts for Any Given Child program.”

The first year of the program will include a full strategic planning process.

That means gathering data, and asking teachers what they need to be able to support students.

It also asks organizations what would be needed to improve arts education.
