Kids and Car Safety Commends Toyota’s Innovative Rear-Seat Reminder Technology in 2025 Sienna
A significant stride in child safety has been made, with Kids and Car Safety proudly acknowledging Toyota for its innovative rear-seat reminder technology featured in the 2025 Toyota Sienna.
This cutting-edge system aims to prevent children from being unknowingly left behind in vehicles.
“We have been working for years on this issue, and we are very excited that part of the infrastructure legislation passed will require technology to be added to vehicles so that children won’t be left alone and face danger,” said Janette Fennell, president of Kids and Car Safety.
According to Kids and Car Safety, approximately 40 children across the country tragically die each year from incidents involving hot cars. The Toyota Sienna’s advanced system includes in-cabin radar that detects rear-seat occupants and alerts drivers before they exit the vehicle.
“There are many different ways to alert them if they are in danger. One method is that if someone is left alone in the vehicle, it will start beeping or the headlights will flash. Additionally, a message can be sent to the driver’s cell phone,” said Janette Fennell, president of Kids and Car Safety.
