Kitchen fire damages Red Bank duplex
Red Bank, Tenn. (WDEF) – The American Red Cross was called in to help a family whose duplex was damaged by kitchen fire Saturday evening.
According to Hamilton County officials, the Red Bank Fire Department responded around 6:45pm to a duplex on Lullwater Road after the homeowner called 9-1-1 reporting a kitchen fire.
The homeowner told fire officials he had used to the stove eye to light a cigarette and forgot to turn off the stove eye
Officials say the firefighters were able to contain the stove fire to the kitchen, and the damages are listed under $10,000.
