CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- A non-profit that helps entrepreneurs in our community unveiled a new resource Friday.

Launch Chattanooga held a grand opening for their new patio at their Kitchen Incubator of Chattanooga.

The patio provides an outdoor eating space that is designed to weather the elements.

This, says Kitchen Incubator staff, will allow events such as Food Truck Friday to continue rain or shine.

Mark Holland, the Director of Kitchen Incubators, said, “Pat and I when we first started these Food Truck Fridays and it rained, you know what we would have to do? We would have to pick up the phone, call the entrepreneurs here on the street and said “I’m sorry. We’re not having an event today.” So when you go back to your work and think about that, think about how if it rains outside, you’re not getting paid that day. This patio, what it represents is a way for these entrepreneurs because they have to eat every single day.”

The patio will be available for rent for other events and organizations.
