Arrest made for Labor Day shooting on Dayton Pike

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies make an arrest for a Labor Day Monday evening shooting.

The original call about a person shot was called in around 5:15 p.m. from the BP Gas Station at 13424 Dayton Pike.

Officials say eyewitnesses on the scene provided detectives with key information.

Less than two hours later, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 29-year-old Donald Stuard II.

He was found at a home in Rhea County with the assistance of Rhea County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

Stuard will be booked at the Hamilton County Jail on charges related to the shooting of 33-year-old Adam Brown.

As of this writing, Brown continues to receive medical treatment at a local hospital.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office authorities say this is a continuing investigation and details remain limited.

– At approximately 5:15 pm Monday night, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to 13424 Dayton Pike to the BP Gas Station for the report of a person shot.

As this event just occurred, details are very limited at this time. Patrol personnel have requested detectives to the scene. The status of the victim is not known at this time; however the victim was transported via HCEMS to a local hospital.
