Lakeview Drive to undergo repairs on Thursday due to pothole

CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) – If you live in Catoosa County, you may face a traffic hurdle. 

Lakeview Drive will be closed on Thursday. 

This is so the Public Works department can make emergency road repairs due to a pothole.

The road will be closed between 8:30 in the morning and 4 p.m. 

Drivers are told to follow the posted detour along Cross Street to Cloud Springs Road to get onto Highway 27 at this time.

“The Public Works has been aware of it. They have checked it out. So, it is just a matter of scheduling the job to finish it,” said John Pless, Public Information Officer for Catoosa County. “Right now, there is still traffic along the road, but to be on the safe side, the pothole is being addressed before it becomes a bigger issue.” 

Pless says the road closure will only last one day.
