Large drug bust in Chattooga County

SUMMERVILLE, Georgia (WDEF) – The Chattooga County sheriff’s office has made a large drug bust.

Sheriff Mark Schrader says his office, along with the Lookout Mountain Drug task force, got 10-thousand dollars worth of chrystal meth off the streets Thursday and arrested 44 year old Reginal Eric Dowdy of Cedar Bluff, Alabama.

According to the sheriff, Dowdy also had a small amount of heroin.

Dowdy faces charges of trafficking meth, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.

He’s in the county jail.
