Lauren Alaina cancels performances to mourn the loss of her father
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Lauren Alaina took to social media Wednesday afternoon, July 24, to announce the death of her father, J.J Suddeth.
Alaina posted on her Instagram story, “We lost my daddy last night, and I really don’t have words yet.”
The North Georgia native goes onto to say, “I’m not able to play the three shows I had scheduled for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte, as I am going home to be with my family.”
Alaina was going to open up for Jason Aldean in his “Highway Desperado Tour” July 25 and July 26 in Savannah and Virginia Beach.
She ends her statement with, “Thank you for your prayers and understanding. Pinky.”
There’s no word on whether or not there will be rescheduled dates for these performances.
