Life Care Centers issues statement on legal proceedings against their founder
CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – A major company in our area is reacting to legal drama surrounding its founder in Cleveland, Tennessee.
Forrest L. Preston started Life Care Centers of America in 1970.
The company now operates 200 campuses in 27 states across the country.
At the age of 91, Preston is still the owner.
But his son has gone to court over a conservatorship for his father.
And this week, law enforcement agencies showed up at Preston’s home in Cleveland.
They are not commenting on what they were looking for to us.
The company has now issued the following statement:
Life Care is aware of a recently filed legal matter involving its Owner, Founder, and CEO/Chairman Forrest L. Preston.
In response, Life Care President Todd Fletcher said, “Regardless of any legal proceedings, Life Care’s leadership and associates both in Cleveland and around the country remain committed to fulfilling their mission of providing excellent care to the residents in the communities they serve.”
Life Care has no further comment at this time.
