Linemen McClendon Curtis and Devonnsha Maxwell Look to Impress on Mocs Pro Day
Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) Over 20 NFL teams showed up at the Mocs pro day on Friday.
Linemen McClendon Curtis and Devonnsha Maxwell were the star attractions.
Brian Armstrong caught up with the NFL draft prospects.
Said Maxwell: Just coming out, seeing all the teams coming and watching me work out.Me and McClendon and other guys. This is crazy.Dream come true.
Scrappy Moore Field was filled this morning with former mocks coaches and pro football scouts mocs football players look to improve their chances at playing professional football.
Said Curtis: Come out here with my boys, watch all my guys perform and just get better, get a chance to make ourselves improve our stock and show them what Chandiga has.
Two players that shine during pro day was Mclendon and Maxwell coach, right.
Said Maxwell:he said, if you want your dreams come true,you got to work hard as much as you can.So just let me know that all the hard work and everything he’s ever told me has been true.
Said Curtis: People know I work hard, but honestly, it starts in your roots.Maxwell came back from injury at the HulaBowl to perform in today’s pro day.
Said Maxwell: Can Get into the next game. Now I can’t play.So I caught my mom crying.I just like how much it meant time to go out and prove myself.Come from Chattanooga,
McClendon turned heads at the combine and continued to do so at pro day.
Said Curtis: God giving me the ability to do this,so that’s where it really comes from.I enjoy the attention, but honestly,I really don’t see it much.My dad’s one that usually tells me
Mocs players were also able to benefit from Cole strange going through the process.Last year at the time
Said Curtis:, I was like,hey, should I wear khakis and a Polo? A chat. Polo.He was like, yes.So we did our first day meetings and I Walked in and I had Khakis and a Polo. And like, all the scouts are like, oh, that’s the guy from Chat, that’s the guy from Chad.
Said Maxwell: Cole, Isaiah Mac, just those guys.Just let me know how the process is going to be, whatI should or shouldn’t do, and just kind of uplifting me.I’ve been working out with Isaiah all the way up until pro day.
