CHATSWORTH, Georgia (WDEF) – The owners of the Little Rome Italian Restaurant in Chatsworth have vowed to rebuild after a catastrophic fire this week.

But it won’t come soon enough to save their employees at Christmas.

So the owners have set up a Go Fund Me drive to support them through the holidays.

The popular Chatsworth establishment was destroyed by an overnight fire on November 30.

The owners say they have begun the process of collecting insurance and rebuilding on the same site, but don’t know how long that will take.

The fund will go to the 18 employees who have suddenly lost their jobs, at least temporarily.

They hope to raise $25,000. As of Friday night, they were about 1/8th toward the goal after the first day.
