Live Update from Day 5 of the Skyy Mims murder trial

Dalton, Ga (WDEF) – Erik Avanier reports from the Whitfield County courthouse on an awkward moment in the Skyy Mims murder trial this morning.

A GBI agent testified that he pulled photos of Mims off her cell phone which was found next to the body at the crime scene.

That caused Mims to start laughing out loud in court.

Despite the minor disruption, the shock belt she is wearing was not used.

Two of her family members who were sitting directly behind her quickly left the court room.
