Local Boxer Rodger “The Hitman” Hilley making his Pro Debut
A local boxer is getting his shot at going pro in December.
“I been through the struggle and I know what it takes to become a true champion and I’m going to succeed my dreams.”
Rodger “The Hitman” Hilley is a Chattanooga native who has been boxing since he was 12 …Now he is getting his chance …To jump from the amateur ranks up to the pros.
“I fought on the biggest scale on the amateur level so it is kind of a dream come true to take it to the next level and be in that professional atmosphere climbing the professional ranks.”
The amateur champion has been working for this moment for 13 years and isn’t taking this opportunity for granted….
“It was a long road it took a lot to get here …I thought I was ready I wasn’t ready… So I stayed trained some more worked a lil bit harder … now I’m ready for the big show.”
Hilley will make his pro-debut at the Chattanooga convention center on December 8th and with all of the training and hard work he has put in over the years winning that night would be a moment he would never forget….
