Local Motorcycle Club Never Underestimates the Power of a Teddy Bear
Claire says, "It made me feel happier. It made my day better because stuffed animals, I don’t know they just, I like em.
For the last ten years, these men have never underestimated the power of an old fashioned teddy bear and a warm blanket.
That’s why they do what they do every year on Christmas Eve.
Mike Baronavski, President of the Unwanted Motorcycle Club, adds, " I Feel like it’s something we could do to cheer them up and make their stay a little bit better."
You can tell their efforts are very much appreciated.
Tad Holtzclaw, Claire’s father, says, "It’s wonderful. There’s a lot of kids here who are unfortunately not going to enjoy Christmas at home, and anything those guys do to put a smile on a face says a lot."
The Unwanted Motorcycle Club did more than tote around magical red wagons.
They also presented the hospital with more than $7,900.
Baronavski adds, "We raise money from our poker runs."
The hospital staff says it will go a long way in helping children suffering from all kinds of illnesses.
Lois Simpson, with Children’s Hospital, adds, "We have children that are being treated for cancer. We have children that are having their appendix removed. Some are in for asthma."
Claire will be at Children’s Hospital through Christmas and into next week.
You can tell she’s loved even more now with these new additions to her festive hospital room.
Claire adds, "Merry Christmas!."
The Unwanted Motorcycle Club plans to continue this tradition for years to come.
