Local organizations collecting supplies for those impacted by Helene

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  Multiple organizations throughout Hamilton County and our viewing area are collecting relief supplies for those impacted by Hurricane Helene.

If you’re wanting to donate, here’s a list of the organizations collecting and other details:

  • Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Food City located at 5604 Hixson Pike from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., October 2.
  • City of East Ridge, drop off boxes at City Hall and the Community Center, donations accepted until Friday, October 4, at 2:00 p.m.
  • Murray County Public Safety, drop offs at nearest Murray County fire stations until morning of Friday October 4.
  • Wholesale Supply Group, any of the 30+ locations (bottled water only)
  • Chattanooga State Community College, drop offs in trailer at athletics parking lot, October 1-3 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (bottled water)
  • The Commons at Collegedale, drop off from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday September 30 to Saturday October 5.
  • Dayton City Police Department, drop offs accepted from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. until Thursday October 3.
  • Downtown Chattanooga, YMCA, drop offs accepted until 9:00 p.m. October 2nd.
  • Peachtree Produce, drops offs accepted Monday September 30 through Friday October 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday October 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Shepard of the Mountains Church, drop officer accepted Monday September 30 to Thursday October 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Murphy Police Department, drop offs started 9:00 a.m Monday, and are ongoing
  • Dayton City School, drop offs accepted at Dayton City School District Office from Tuesday October 1 to Thursday October 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
