Local Parents and Teens React to Red Bank Student’s Social Media Threats
According to authorities, within minutes of the post, school resource officers identified, detained and questioned the student. Multiple law enforcement agencies were called in to investigate, turning one little Facebook comment into a serious criminal act.
Local area parents, and students alike, are shocked to learn what happened to the student after they were arrested and charged with false reporting, which is a felony.
"Well they don’t think there’s any repercussions," said local resident, and father of one, Mitch Grubbs, "They don’t think anything’s gonna come of it, but actually it does do a lot of damage."
Multiple law enforcement agencies were called in to investigate, including members of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Red Bank Police Department.
