Local Perspective of Final Presidential Debate

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- The final Presidential Debate is now behind us and November 8th is quickly approaching.

The third and final Presidential Debate just wrapped up.

“Hillary did a great job tonight, and I think that she reinforced what we think, you know, a lot of supporters feel about her as a candidate and what we think she will do as President.”

“Some of the questions were, I think, set up to bait Trump, in a way. He gave some good answers to some, and some he didn’t give such great answers to. But I think later, if he came back and thought about it he’d give better answers.”

According to National polling averages, released this afternoon, Senator Hillary Clinton has the lead, with 45 percent, while Donald Trump isn’t too far behind with just a little more than 39 percent.

“I think that there have been a lot of things that have been said about women, about just you know even the lack of real policy depth from the other candidate that really considers a lot of people in both parties, and so I think she will get a significant amount of the vote.”

“Trump is honest, and he’s going to stand up for the country, and for the defense of the country. He’s going to be the one we need.”

Supporters on both sides seem to be confident their candidate will win come November, but there are still roughly 6 percent of registered voters who remain undecided.

“I think it’s really great that we have debates, because at the very least we get a little more of an idea on some of the policy ideas, some of the character of the opponents, especially towards each other.”

“My only real problem with Trump is he says things without thinking sometimes, and hopefully he’ll think through things before–you know, count to ten before he talks, and if he does he’s going to win this.”
