Lodge Manufacturing expanding production in South Pittsburg

Expansion should create 230 jobs

SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tennessee (WDEF) – Tennessee officials announce that Lodge Manufacturing is expanding in South Pittsburg.

The $56 million expansion should create 239 more jobs.

Lodge has been making cast iron cookware in South Pittsburg for 126 years, making them the oldest such manufacturer in the country.

But demand for their products is growing so their production line will grow to meet it.

Marion County Mayor David Jackson points out “This is the third expansion in the last ten years, which means Lodge makes a great product… This expansion will provide for more good-paying jobs for our community.”

Lodge is a family-owned business now run by the 5th generation.

Governor Bill Lee says “For 125 years, Lodge has called South Pittsburg home and relied on skilled Tennesseans to make products that last for generations. I’m proud that this respected brand continues to thrive in our state, and we thank the company for its additional investment in Southeast Tennessee.”

TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe adds “Lodge is a storied American brand whose products can be found in homes and eateries around the world.”
