Looking Ahead to February 8, 2016

The Board of Education for the Cleveland City School system meets this morning in about an hour to appoint an Interim Director of Schools. The board terminated Dr. Martin Ringstaff’s employment on Friday.

North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory sustained minor injuries after the vehicle he was riding in was rear-ended shortly after the Carolina Panthers’ Super Bowl loss. The Governor’s office says McCrory experienced “minor pain” but was able to continue to his destination in another vehicle. He declined treatment.

Hamilton County Commissioner Tim Boyd takes a look at the shared sales tax system… and how per capita versus point of collection impacts cities and counties. His presentation takes place at the Pachyderm Club meeting today at Noon.
