Chattanooga police responded to two calls of shots fired early this morning.

They were first called to the 3600 block of 5th Ave around 2:20AM.

Later, police responded to the 7700 block of Holiday Hills Circle just after 3AM.

Details are limited at this time.

Also, The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says a suspect wounded in an exchange of gunfire with a state trooper in suburban Atlanta has died.

26-year-old Israel Vladimir Rodriguez of Acworth died at a hospital around 10:30 Wednesday night.

A State Patrol spokesman says the shooting occurred Trooper Jacob Fields attempted to pull him over.

Trooper Fields was shot in the leg and abdomen.

He is in stable condition.

Also, two young men charged with vandalizing Oak Grove Elementary School in Bradley county are due in court this morning

The incident happened on New Year’s Day.

18-year-olds Tanner Lee Ellenburg and Brant Austin Miolen are charged with vandalism under $500.
