Public opinions and suggestions regarding the future of the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Bellefonte Nuclear Plant near Hollywood, Ala., are still being accepted through the end of today.
In February, TVA announced it was seeking public comment as it explored the possible sale of the 1600 -acre facility.
All comments received will be reviewed along with other pertinent information by management.
Public comments will assist the TVA Board to help decide whether to sell the property
The Tennessee Health Department is reminding pet owners to vaccinate their animals for rabies after two rabid dogs were recently confirmed in Middle Tennessee.
According to the Tennessee Department of Health, one puppy died in Wilson County in February.
A second dog was submitted for testing in February from DeKalb County.
Both dogs had a strain of rabies found in skunks, meaning they were likely infected after being bitten by skunks.
