Lookout Mountain Attorney Arrested For Aggravated Child Abuse

Lookout Mountain, TN (WDEF) A prominent Lookout Mountain attorney faces charges for spanking his 11-year-old son more than 100 times.

51-year-old Morgan Adams is charged with aggravated child abuse.

Police say his son had "heavy, deep bruising on both sides of his buttocks."

Adams told police his son got 10 spanks for making a zero in school.

While Adams was out of town, his son made 10 zeros and lied to his mother about it; which was 20 spanks.

Adams is being defended by Attorney Jerry Summers.

We’ll hear from him tonight at 6, and officials with Child Protective Services.
