Lookout Valley Family Speaks About Triple Homicide
LOOKOUT VALLEY, TN (WDEF) – Everett Morris tells News 12, “They took my son away from me.” The pain is so overwhelming, Morris, had to stop our interview.
He lost his son, Jon, about three weeks ago.
He was shot to death in Lookout Valley, along with two others.
Molly Jean Jackson, Jon’s sister, says, “It wasn’t fair that they took my son’s only uncle away from him. I hear all the time, Where’s uncle bubba Johnny at? I want him back. And that’s something my son will never get back.”
Jackson says she knows the latest suspect in this case, Skyler Allen, 22.
She tells us she worked with him at McDonald’s and that he was well known in the community.
A neighbor also tells us, “Yeah, I know them. I know every one of them, except the little 15-year-old. I didn’t know him.”
Allen was booked into the Hamilton County jail around two Wednesday morning.
The other suspects in this case Derek Morse, 19, and a 15-year-old have already been charged.
Family members say knowing all of the suspects are caught brings closure, but it maybe comes a little too late.
Jackson adds, “My mother died 10 days after my brothers death. She was on hospice and it was too much for her to handle.”
If convicted, these men could spend their final days in prison.
Friends and family say that’s just where they belong.
Jackson adds, “I want them to spend everyday knowing what they done to my brother and what they took away from my son. I do not want them to get the easy way out. I want them to sit in jail for the rest of their life.”
Authorities are now confident that they’ve arrested all the primary suspects, but they continue to look for those who helped after the fact.
