Lookouts Beat Biscuits For Third Straight Win

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Edgar Corcino singled three times, and Ryan Eades allowed just three hits over 5 2/3 innings as the Chattanooga Lookouts defeated the Montgomery Biscuits 5-2 on Thursday for their third straight victory.

Eades (2-1) picked up the win after he walked three while allowing one run.

Montgomery started the scoring in the first inning. After reaching base on a walk, Kean Wong scored on a double by Joe McCarthy.

Chattanooga answered in the bottom of the frame, scoring two runs to take the lead for good. LaMonte Wade and Ryan Strausborger both drove in runs en route to the one-run lead.

The Lookouts later added single runs in the second, fifth and seventh innings to secure the victory.
Chattanooga’s lone run in the fifth was courtesy of a lead-off homer from Nick Gordon.

Greg Harris (1-4) went five innings, allowing four runs and seven hits in the Southern League game. He also struck out one and walked two. John Curtiss recorded his ninth save of the season.

Montgomery missed a scoring opportunity in the sixth, when Nick Ciuffo struck out with the bases loaded to end the inning.
