Lookouts Pitcher Nick Lodolo Named Double-A Player of the Week

(lookouts.com) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Minor League Baseball has announced that Chattanooga Lookouts left-hander Nick Lodolo has been named the Double-A South Player of the Week (5/17 – 5/23).

In his lone start last week, the southpaw was lights out.  In seven shutout innings, Lodolo struck out a season-high 11 batters and only allowed one hit.  Among all qualified Double-A South pitchers this week, he posted the lowest batting average against (.045) and the lowest WHIP (0.27).

This season, Lodolo has only allowed one run in 15.2 innings of work.  His ERA of 0.57 is second in the Double-A South among qualified players behind teammate Reiver Sanmartin.

Lodolo is now the second Lookouts player to take home Double-A South Player of the Week honors, joining fellow starter Hunter Greene. The lefty will make his next start this Tuesday when the Lookouts return home to face the Tennessee Smokies.
