Lost hikers recovered along the Suck Creek Trail
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A flash flood made for a lost night on the side of Signal Mountain for two hikers on Tuesday.
The pair of 21 year olds were hiking at the Suck Creek Trail Head when a sudden downpour hit the mountain around 4:30.
The sudden rise of Suck Creek forced the hikers to move off of the trail to higher ground.
They called authorities to report they had no idea where they were as a result.
Rescuers hiked in from both the top and bottom of the trail on the end of Signal Mountain.
By 11 PM they made contact and were heading back down to the bottom.
No one was injured in the incident.
