Love Gives Wheels

One church organization battled rain, wind and cold temperatures for 36 hours straight, all to make someone else’s Christmas a little brighter.

Love Gives Wheels, led by Dynamic Church in Chattanooga, hosted a 36-hour bike donation drive to bring awareness to a largely unmet need in our city.

The fellowship raised four-hundred bikes in two days through the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program.

Lead Pastor Wesley Odum says donations are still coming in and he hopes Dynamic Church will meet their goal.

The groups goal of 500 bikes would provide every child in the angel tree program with a new bike.

Odum explains why his fellowship chose to stick it out for all 36-hours, despite the nasty weather.

"Over the past few years we’ve actually had the joy of delivering these bikes and seeing the families face light up when they receive them. Many of these families, the kids have bikes at the top of their wish list and I’m sure a lot of parents are taking a deep breath and sighing because they realized that’s going to be nearly impossible. So thats why we fight through this, thats why we try to make every bike count, and bless kids this year for Christmas," says Odum.

The church has partnered with Salvation Army for the past three years.
