Make a donation for holiday care packages for healthcare workers

HIXSON, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Department of Community Development is collecting donations to create care packages for healthcare workers. 

They are donating these care packages to employees at Parkridge Valley Hospital. 

Folks can donate lip balm, bottled water, cozy socks and more. 

Organizers are taking this time to spread holiday cheer to those in the medical field. 

“Around the holiday season, it is hard on the patients who are there. It is equally as hard on the staff that works there to provide support to their patients. We are taking the time to provide support to them,” said Ashley Tisdale, Community Center Specialist at Hixson Community Center.

The last day to drop off a donation is December 18. 

Drop off items at the Hixson Community Center, located 5401 School Drive, Hixson, Tennessee.
