Makers Faire Preparations
Preparations for the inaugural Makers Faire began Friday afternoon at the First Tennessee Pavilion.
The faire will offer hands-on workshops, a kids zone and exhibits including R2D2. People can show what they are making and share what they are learning in the process. Representatives hope children will learn something that they may not have been taught in the classroom. Graham Bredemeyer, Makers Faire Director said, "What’s interesting about a lot of products you are going to see here is they don’t necessarily have a practical application because making isn’t always about the end product. It’s about the process and I think that’s what we want to celebrate and get people intrigued about it."
The Faire begins Saturday morning at 10am.
