Man arrested after breaking into buildings, stealing money
RHEA COUNTY — A man has been arrested after breaking into two different buildings, according to the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD).
They say on May 11, 2026, deputies were dispatched to a burglary scene at Rocky Food Mart located at the North entrance of Cottonport Road in Dayton.
Security footage showed a male entering the business through a broken window, emptying the cash register and taking two packs of cigarettes before exiting, the RCSD says.
On May 26th, a burglary occurred at the Pine Grove Market located on Rocky Springs Road in Spring City.
They say a male was observed breaking a window of the business, squeezing inside between rebar and emptying a cash register.
Michael Jordan Frazier was identified as a person of interest.
On May 27, 2026, Frazier was found to be staying at a local hotel.
He was arrested and charged with the following:
Burglary Breaking and Entering (2 Counts)
Burglary (2 Counts)
Destruction/Damage/Vandalism of Property
Theft of Property Less than $1,000 (2 Counts)
Vandalism (2 Counts)
Stolen Property Offenses
