Man arrested at driver services center for threatening mass violence

RED BANK, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A man has been arrested for making threats at a local Driver Services Center.

Witnesses say Casey William Smith from Lenoir Center made threats of mass violence.

State troopers were called about an unruly customer at the Red Bank Center on Dayton Boulevard on Tuesday.

The trooper performed a field sobriety test, but said Smith did not appear to be intoxicated.

It’s unclear what exactly Smith stated during the incident.
