Man arrested for theft at Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A man has been arrested in connection to theft at Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts.
The School Resource Deputy (SRD) was notified by school administration that a male was stealing property off of school grounds.
After reviewing surveillance footage, the SRD a middle-aged male, driving an older model Ford pickup truck.
The footage revealed the male taking metal pipes and other material from the loading dock area over the course of two Saturday’s last month.
These materials were being used by the school for construction of the stage area.
His license plate was illegible on camera.
The information gathered was shared with the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD).
CPD used a license plate reader and were able to get a hit on a matching suspect and vehicle description.
After conducting an investigation, it was determined the tag was registered to a William Hill.
SRD’s were able to locate Hill at his residence and were able to establish probable cause of theft.
He was later arrested by the Criminal Warrants Unit Detectives and is being booked on two counts of Theft and two counts of Criminal Trespassing.
