Man arrested in hit-and-run death in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Police say a man has been arrested on charges in the hit-and-run death of a woman in Memphis.
Shelby County Jail records show 49-year-old Walter Williams was being held Sunday on charges that include vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, public intoxication and leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
WMC-TV reports Williams was behind the wheel when police arrived Saturday. Police say 24-year-old Clarissa Rhodes was pronounced dead at the scene.
