SCOTTSBORO — A man has been arrested after officers discovered multiple drugs in a residence near the 1800 Block of E. Willow Street, according to the Scottsboro Police Department.

They say on April 10,2026 at approximately 2:36p.m., officers responded to a residence in an effort to locate a subject wanted on a nationwide extradition warrant.

Information had been received indicating that the wanted individual had recently been seen at that location.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with an individual, identified as Craig William Adams.

The Scottsboro Police Department says after being advised of the reason for the officers’ presence, the Adams voluntarily escorted officers inside the living quarters to confirm that the wanted subject was not present.

While looking in plain view, drugs and paraphernalia were strewn about, including crystalline methamphetamine, liquid methamphetamine, synthetic cannabis (spice), and several items of drug paraphernalia, according to the Scottsboro Police Department.

The drugs and paraphernalia were photographed and collected on-scene.

They say Adams was initially released at the scene, but warrants were obtained at a later date.

Adams has been arrested and charged with the following:
Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
Possession of Controlled Substance (Spice)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
