When police arrived at the crime scene, they saw several people carrying Baker down the stairs. Officers said Baker had a deep laceration on his leg, and he told them he fell on his machete. He also had a “large fixed-blade knife” in his possession, police added.

Officers witnessed puddles of blood throughout the home.

The victim told CPD that Baker and one other person jumped him and stabbed him in the back ten times.

Additionally, the victim said Baker’s girlfriend accused the victim of trying to rape her, saying that was Baker’s motivation for the attack.

Police said they did not find evidence of the victim being armed.

Authorities took both Baker and the victim to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The suspect, Baker, had to undergo surgery from his injury.

CPD expects the victim to survive his injuries.
