Man in Cherokee County arrested for meth trafficking

MURPHY, N.C. (WDEF) – A 39 year old man in Cherokee County, North Carolina is facing meth trafficking charges.

The Sheriff’s Office says Issac Daniel Hughes was riding around the county in possession of two stolen weapons.

When deputies stopped his vehicle, and searched it, they say they found a large quantity of methamphetamine.

Hughes was arrested, and charged with trafficking in meth, and possession with the intent of manufacturing a controlled substance.
