CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A man from McMinn County faces more charges for sexual exploitation of a minor.

In April 2024, Cody Gunter was arrested for sexual exploitation and solicitation of a minor.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigations (TBI) found new evidence during ‘Operation Protect Tomorrow’.

This operation was put in place to locate and identify minors who were victims of sextortion and online sexual exploitation.

TBI agents discovered Gunter was involved in producing child sexual abuse material.

This led to the TBI obtaining an arrest warrant for Gunter and charging him with three counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

Gunter was found in Cumberland County with the help of local police and sheriff’s offices.

He turned himself in on August 1, 2024, and is being held at the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department without bond.
