Man shot on Bonnyshire Drive Monday night
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating after a man was shot on Bonnyshire Drive overnight.
According to police, the shooting happened at 10 p.m. Monday in the 7200 block of Bonnyshire Drive. This is near Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga.
Police learned that a 28-year-old man went to a local hospital with gunshot injuries, which were not life-threatening. In addition, officers said someone took the man to the hospital in a personal vehicle.
The CPD’s preliminary investigation determined that the victim was inside a vehicle when someone shot him from outside the car.
However, authorities are still investigating to determine what exactly happened.
They do not believe this to be a random incident though.
