Man, toddler shot near gas station in central Alabama
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) – Police say a man and toddler have been shot near a gas station in central Alabama.
Birmingham police Sgt. Bryan Shelton tells Al.com that the shooting occurred around 6:10 p.m. at the Mystik gas station. A vehicle occupied by three adults and a young male child.
Shelton says the child is in stable condition at the Children’s of Alabama. The man was taken to UAB Hospital, and his condition is unknown.
Shelton says investigators don’t know the motive behind the shooting or if the men were targeted.
Police were unable to provide details of the suspect’s vehicle.
