Marion Co Feeling Warrior Pride Ahead of State Title Game

Jasper, TN-(WDEF) Warrior Pride takes on new meaning for Marion County this week.
Last year, the Warriors were mired in a scandal, as some former coaches vandalized school property.
But on Saturday, Marion County is headed back to the state championship game for the first time in 19-years.
Said head coach Ricky Ross,"You take small towns especially. Your school means a lot, and your school is either a great source of pride, or your school can be what is a black-eye. A year ago, like it or not, there were a lot of people that had ties to this school that felt it let them down. And so the biggest thing I’m happy about is that we can provide a sense of pride, a sense of accomplishment, and hey, that’s my alma mata."
Marion Co will battle Peabody at 12pm on Saturday in Cookeville for the 2A state title.
