Marion County couple charged with rape of 7-year-old

MARION COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A couple in Marion County are facing five charges of child rape, according to an affidavit.

Marion County deputies arrested William Joe Beene and Brandon “Brandy” Sloan Hawkins on September 13.

According to authorities, Beene sexually assaulted Hawkins’ 7-year-old daughter over eight months. They said it happened five times total.

Records show those incidents spanned from December of 2022 until August of 2023.

Hawkins observed and allowed the rape of her daughter to happen, the affidavit said.

Now, both Beene and Hawkins face five counts of rape of a child, which is a Class A felony.
