Marion County woman charged with using TennCare to buy and sell pills

NASHVILLE (WDEF) – State and local officials have arrested a Marion County woman in a prescription drug case.

Susan Braziel faces charges of selling a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and TennCare fraud.

Investigators say she used TennCare benefits to get a prescription for a controlled substance and then sold the pills to an undercover officer.

“The Office of Inspector General is committed to establishing and maintaining partnerships with all of our city, county and state law enforcement agencies,” Inspector General Chad D. Holman said. “We provide our partners with tools for battling drug abuse in our communities through the TennCare fraud statutes that allow for enhanced charges against perpetrators.”
