Married couple charged for child sexual exploitation

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A married couple in Hamilton County face multiple charges of child exploitation.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the District Attorney’s Office participated in this joint investigation, lasting two and a half years.

After receiving a tip from a Missouri-based HSI, officers found the abused child.

Hamilton County officers arrested the couple on Thursday.

Earlier this week, a grand jury indicted Tina Keen.

Tina Marie Keen had many outstanding warrants:

  • Four counts of child rape,
  • Four counts of aggravated sexual battery,
  • 10 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor
  • Sexual exploitation of a minor.

The sheriff’s 0ffice said the exploitation was for over 100 images.

Husband Tommy James Keen also participated in the exploitation.

HCSO said the 47-year-old man previously plead guilty to exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography. Officials sentenced him to 300 months, or 25 years, in prison.

“Tina Keen’s crimes are particularly disturbing given her relationship with the victim,” stated Special Agent in Charge Rana Saoud. “This investigation demonstrates to the residents of Hamilton County that our Homeland Security Investigations Chattanooga and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office place the safety and welfare of our children as one our top priorities. Together, we will pursue those who seek to exploit and harm our nation’s most vulnerable population and bring them to justice.”
