Marsha Blackburn supports amendment to ban a state property tax

Senator Marsha Blackburn is endorsing a change to the Tennessee state Constitution.

She is in favor of a banning a state property tax in Tennessee.

Blackburn is running for Governor next year.

She says she fought against a state income tax in 2014, and will do the same to prevent a state property tax.

The issue will be on the ballot this November.

Senator Blackburn urges Tennesseans to vote “Yes” to prevent a new tax in the state.

Right now, you pay a property tax to local governments, but not the state.
