MARTA worker accused of tweeting Trump assassination threat
ATLANTA (AP) – A MARTA employee has been suspended after officials believe she tweeted a threat against President-elect Donald Trump.
News outlets report an unidentified woman with the Twitter handle Yellabud tweeted “#AssassinateTrump,” writing that she wished she could do it herself. Underneath the post was a picture showing Trump dead and riddled with bullets.
The Twitter account has since been deleted.
MARTA spokeswoman Alisa Jackson said Tuesday that the part-time employee had been placed on administrative leave as the incident is investigated.
