McBrien Road in East Ridge to be resurfaced

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — Those who commute through East Ridge can expect road work starting next week. The city announced a resurfacing project for McBrien Road on Wednesday.
Starting Monday, March 11, Talley Construction will start resurfacing the 1400 block of McBrien Road. This portion of McBrien Road is from Ringgold Road to South Terrace.
City officials expect the road work to take 14 days to complete.
Crews will be intermittently closing lanes of McBrien Road during this time. They will also be directing traffic.
To prevent traffic backups, there will be signage directing drivers to detour via Altamaha Street and S. Moore Road.
Talley Construction will reopen this road once the project is complete.
