McCallie Basketball Team Set to Host Dr Pepper 10 Classic This Weekend

Chattanooga-(WDEF) McCallie is set to welcome one of the nation’s premiere high school basketball teams to Chattanooga.
Oak Hill Academy will play in the Dr Pepper Ten Classic.
Oak Hill is ranked second in the nation, and some of their alum include NBA stars Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony.
The two day tournament starts Friday at six.
Central will face Hamilton Heights, and then McCallie battles Oak Hill.
Then on Saturday at six, it’s McCallie vs Central, followed by Oak Hill and Hamilton Heights
Blue Tornado coach John Shulman says Oak Hill features the top talent in the country.
Shulman-“He changed his name but Braxton Key, who is going to Alabama. They’ve got one going to Mississippi State. They’ve got one going to Duke who is the number one player in America.”
Said Max Shulman-“You get to play multiple high major college players, and maybe some future NBA Players on this court in front of your home people. Just a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
Said Adrian Thomas-“Very exciting moment for everyone, especially Chattanooga. I’ve never experienced anything like it.”
Said Junior Clay-“Everyone asks me if I’m ready or if I’m scared or are my nerves, but I’m fine. I’m ready for it.”
